Longtime Insurance Defense Lawyer Patrick Mulcahy Joins Novara Law

Novara, Tesija, Catenacci, McDonald, & Baas PLLC announces that lawyer Patrick Mulcahy has joined the firm as a partner in the Insurance Defense group. 

Mulcahy has dedicated his 35+ year career to defending insurers and private entities throughout Michigan. Prior to joining the firm, he owned Mulcahy & Mulcahy, P.C. in Northville, an insurance defense and litigation law firm established by his father, James Mulcahy, in 1953.

“Pat brings tremendous litigation experience to our firm, is greatly respected in the insurance industry, and is a trusted advisor to clients. We are pleased to have him join our team,” said Michael Novara, managing partner and CEO.

Mulcahy specializes in motor vehicle litigation, including first and third-party litigation, as well as coverage and declaratory actions, general liability litigation, premises liability litigation, subrogation litigation and other insurance matters.

He is frequently appointed as a facilitator and is a case evaluator for Wayne and Washtenaw Counties. He is often selected as an arbitrator for private arbitrations, and has been a presenter at NASP‘s local and national conferences/seminars.  

Mulcahy has donated many hours of time to various Detroit-area volunteer attorney programs, including WJR Radio’s Call for Action program. He received his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, with honors, and his B.A. from Michigan State University, James Madison College.
