Maro is a tenacious attorney with a unique background, who thrives on solving challenging legal issues for clients. With her inherent ability to view cases from a full-picture perspective, she has successfully litigated both civil and criminal matters since she began her legal career in 2013.

Maro started her career as an assistant prosecuting attorney at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, where she was tasked with handling sexual assault cases involving child and adult victims, including cold cases. She was well known as a zealous advocate and worthy opponent in the courtroom, ultimately conducting over 40 felony trials.

In March 2019, Maro left the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office for insurance defense litigation. She primarily focuses her practice on first- and third-party claims as the result of motor vehicle accidents, including catastrophic, fraud, and special investigation claims. She also provides pre-suit litigation planning and advice, including conducting examinations under oath.

Maro is a firm believer in giving back to the community, and in mentoring the future generations of lawyers. In this spirit, she served as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law teaching second- and third-year law students in a practical course focused on pre-trial advocacy.
