Overview
Muthu Veerappan has handled a wide variety of civil matters, including First- and Third-Party No-Fault cases, dog bites, premises liability, as well as personal injury while at a boutique law firm. He also has trial experience working at the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
During law school, Muthu worked at Wayne Law's Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC), Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic (AILC), and completed a public service externship. He completed 150 hours of fieldwork for FLAC, 150 hours for the public service externship, and 250 hours for AILC. In May 2022, his 1,570 pro bono hours were included in his graduating class's 2,400 hours, which set the school and state record.
Muthu served as an ambassador for both Oakland University and Wayne State University Law School. He served as President of Keith Students of Civil Rights, an independent organization associated with the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights.
