Novara Law Part of National Insurance Coverage Win for Insurers in Opiate Epidemic Litigation


Novara Law is pleased to announce a national insurance coverage win for insurers in the opiate epidemic multi-district litigation.

Partner Karen Libertiny Ludden served as lead strategist in this declaratory judgment action just decided by the Ohio Supreme Court. The Court held that Acuity Insurance was not responsible to defend or indemnify an opiate distributor in the National Prescription Opiate Multi-District Litigation before Federal Judge Daniel A. Polster. 

Ms. Ludden was part of a litigation team comprised of four attorneys from different firms that successfully litigated this case: Ben Sasse of Tucker Ellis, Gary Nicholson of Gallagher Sharp and John Chyslta of Hanna, Campbell & Powell.
