Melissa A. Durity

Melissa Durity has devoted her career to the defense of national insurance carriers and the investigation of fraudulent claims. Melissa has jury trial trial experience having first-chaired a trial for a national insurance company. 

Her practice focuses on insurance defense, including first-party no-fault benefit claims, uninsured motorist benefit claims, underinsured motorist claims, and third-party automobile negligence claims.

She also brings prior experience having served a corporate counsel extern for a global automotive supplier and a law clerk for American Inns of Court and The Honorable Marla E. Parker.

• As a first-chair, successfully obtained a no cause of action in defending a third-party automobile negligence jury trial in Washtenaw County Circuit Court on behalf of a national insurance company.
• Successfully obtained a no cause of action, which included an allegation of fraud and material misrepresentation, in defending a first-party no-fault PIP jury trial in the Wayne county Circuit Court on behalf of a national insurance company.
• Successfully obtained a no cause of action, in defending a first-party no-fault PIP jury trial in the Macomb county Circuit Court on behalf of a national insurance company.
